Oggy(13) and Zuzu(15) Edwards mother receives a troubling message from her eccentric astronomer father-in-law. She reluctantly decides to search for him. Left behind and under the supervision of their crotchety ex-marine uncle Jake, the two teens and their loyal Fennec fox get a cryptic message hours after her departure while looking for her missing father-in-law. The two teens, and their fox, with the help of their uncle set out, from Mars, to find their mother, all the while hoping to find a pilot to take them to them to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Simultaneously, court-martialed and scarred Christian Drake and his infamous Starry Outlaws are being hunted by the Interstellar Galactic Federation and the Galactic Space Marines for numerous crimes find themselves stealing from insanely rich and sketchy individuals and being paid for the stolen goods by other uber rich space explorers. Uninterested in continuing the petty crimes the space pirate captain and crew deliver their latest ill-gotten goods only to stumble upon the odd Martian trio trying to get to the remote dwarf planet in the Milky Way. The moody and temperamental pirate, his motley crew, and the odd trio, find themselves on a far flung space quest to the fringes of space.
